Compression springs in 4536 spring sizes for fast delivery from stock made of normal steel EN 10270-1 and stainless steel EN 10270-3-1.4310 from Gutekunst. The compression springs are made of round spring steel wire in a cylindrical shape with a constant pitch and linear spring characteristic in quality grade 2 (medium tolerance range) according to DIN EN 15800. Simply select the right compression spring in the spring shop and order it directly from Gutekunst using the shopping cart. CAD data, data sheets and spring characteristic diagrams are available for each compression spring.
Compression springs catalog range
Compression springs in 2293 dimensions made of normal steel EN 10270-1 (not rustproof, max. Temperature 80 degrees) in wire thicknesses (d) from 0.2 to 12.0 mm from stock.
Compression springs in 2243 dimensions made of stainless steel EN 10270-3-1.4310 (rustproof, max. Temperature 200 degrees) in wire thicknesses (d) from 0.2 to 10.0 mm from stock.
Compression springs made of normal steel are lightly oiled after the thermal treatment. The stainless steel compression springs are not treated any further after the thermal treatment. The compression springs can also be supplied with an additional Surface treatment to be delivered. In this case, contact order@gutekunst-co.com .
Winding direction, spring ends and setting behavior
Our compression springs are right-wound (clockwise) as standard. In the case of compression springs with wire diameters (d) smaller than 0.5 mm, the end turns are "closed". Compression springs with a wire diameter (d) greater than 0.5 mm have "closed and ground" end turns. All compression springs that show a setting behavior are pre-set, thermally post-treated and relaxed.

Number of turns and production compensation
The number of resilient coils is given in the "n" column. Depending on the number of resilient coils, 2 additional coils are added to achieve the optimal 180 degree position of the end coils. However, since the production compensation (DIN EN 15800) to maintain the spring properties (coil diameter (De), unstressed length (L0) and maximum force (Fn)) at Gutekunst is based on the number of resilient coils (n), this is not always the case an exact 180-degree position of the end turns can be achieved.
Buckling of the compression springs
With compression springs there is a risk of buckling. Depending on the size, guidance and storage of the springs. When the spring is guided through the bush and mandrel, the spring cannot buckle. In the other cases it depends on the execution of the storage. The buckling limit "Lk" specified in the article data applies to the spring end seat with the seat coefficient factor v = 0.5 according to EN 13906-1 point 9.14.
This is the case:
Spring seat coefficient v = 0.5
The number given in the "Lk" column is the length of the tensioned compression spring from which there is a risk of buckling in the spring end bearing (v = 0.5). If the "Lk" column shows the number "0.00", then the spring can be tensioned to "Ln" without the risk of buckling.
Spring test
All metal springs are quality checked. This is done in our testing department, which is independent of production. The testing of the compression springs offered in the catalog assortment is carried out according to DIN ISO 2859-1 test level II. The simple sampling plan for normal tests with test severity AQL = 1.0 is used. If necessary, we can carry out and document all test regulations up to and including individual tests. We offer the following factory certificates for each test item.
Factory certificate according to:
EN 10204-2.1 (DIN 50049-2.1) free of charge
EN 10204-2.2 (DIN 50049-2.2) subject to charge *
EN 10204-3.1B (DIN 50049-3.1B) subject to charge *

Calculation and tolerances
The compression springs were calculated in accordance with EN 13906 Part 1.
The specified tolerances of the compression spring correspond to quality level 2 from DIN EN 15800. For a surcharge, we can deliver all standard spring sizes according to quality grade 1.
The tolerances for the wire diameter are based on DIN 2076.
Dynamic use of the compression spring
The compression spring values under dynamic load (Fndyn, Lndyn and shdyn) are only achieved from a wire diameter of 0.8 mm with a surface strengthened by shot peening. The dynamic values of up to 0.75 mm wire thickness, however, are achieved without a shot-peened surface. In individual cases, compression springs with a wire diameter of up to 0.75 mm can also be shot peened. Please contact our sales department at (+49) 07123 960-192 or order@gutekunst-co.com .
